At Angelica Peady Photography we love weddings with a bit of colour and even though the weather was ordinary (well it rained… A LOT) the wedding of Dan and Van was extraordinary.
When we first met with Dan and Van and they told us about their plans which included astro turf, picket fences and flamingos. We thought it was just the kind of wedding that we’d love to be a part of! We love that Dan and Van went with what they loved, went with their creativity and they were so happy that their vision came to life on their wedding day.
The ceremony was held in St Brigid’s Church – a cute little hidden away church in a fabulous historic part of Sydney – The Rocks. After the ceremony the bride and groom and all of their guests travelled to the reception via ferry! What a fabulous idea… a relaxed ride around the harbour – what a way to enjoy your first few hours as a married couple!
The reception was held at The Deckhouse in Woolwich and was fabulously decorated by the team at Decorative Events. Dan and Van’s wedding cake was based on Van’s engagement ring – which you may remember from our engagement session – and it was created by Van’s mother. We loved that it was completed original!
Dan and Van had such original ideas and such a fabulous concept – it was an absolute pleasure to be part of the day!! We wish Dan and Van the absolute best with their future!
Finally, for some of the images from this colourful wedding…
At Angelica Peady Photography we are passionate, creative photographers who celebrate brides and grooms, just like Dan and Van who have the desire to be a little bit different. Our own style is relaxed, natural and a little bit offbeat so couples with the same approach are just up our alley! We are based in the Hawkesbury but photograph weddings all over Sydney, the Blue Mountains, South Coast and the Hunter Valley.
