We were totally excited to be shooting David and Michelle’s Watson’s Bay Wedding. We had never experienced a Jewish ceremony before and couldn’t wait to capture one. We’d been told it would be filled with amazing traditions and lots of special touches and we were not disappointed. The Armoury setting was amazing, the moments so intimate and heartfelt and the couple – smitten. Smitten! Did I say smitten? These guys were beyond in love with one another :)
Michelle’s got a real flair for detail and every part of the day was made special by her flourishes of DIY all inspired by Australian native flowers. Be sure to check out the screens at the back of the reception space and the fabulous ‘chatterbox’ menus – all her handy work and really ‘wedding magazine’ DIY projects. We also loved the poems that were used to adorn the trees at the ceremony location and copies of these same verses were gifted to guests in handmade books. So divine.
Michelle and David are a striking couple, their energy for one another is just contagious. Michelle looked beautiful in a rich cherry toned dress and wore simple cream blooms in her hair. Radiant from within Michelle was the epitome of the beaming bride! You can see how loved up these two are in the pictures, their feelings for one another simply leap from the screen!
The last thing we have to mention was the buzz of seeing the dancing of the Hora. The bride and groom hoisted into the air on chairs and the guests revelling below – celebrating their loved ones tying the knot. Every wedding should have a Hora!
