There was so much to love about Emma & Bren’s wedding day. Firstly it was a little bit hush-hush as it was a very intimate family elopement and let’s be honest who doesn’t enjoy a secret? Emma and Bren planned their dream day in a cloak of secrecy and only the handful of friends and relatives who attended knew the day was even to happen!
Secondly, the wedding was held in a unique location (another love!) which saw the Angelica Peady Photography team head deep into Jenolan Caves for the wedding ceremony – certainly a dramatic and out-of-this world place to tie the knot. (More on this later!)
And thirdly, Emma & Bren are two of the most lovely, fun and genuine people you could ever met – let alone who could fall in love – and working with them was an absolute pleasure.
Oh and did we say they were married in a cave? Yep. Well that was pretty cool. I think it deserves a second mention :)
Jenolan Caves are some of the oldest and most amazing caves in the world. A series of 11 chambers with underground rivers and spectacular cave ‘architecture’ you find yourself journeying deep into the earth into a place that’s serene, dramatic and strangely ambient for being underground! Jenolan Caves has specific wedding information that you can read here but I did like this line from their site about what it’s like to be married in a cave… At Jenolan Caves, natural wonder, seclusion, mystique and old world atmosphere all contribute to a subtle enchantment – that carefree, romantic ambiance. :)
Emma wore a stunning lace gown and carried a jewelled bouquet which she sourced from Etsy. She wore adorable flat shoes – for walking into the caves (a must for any cave bride!) And at one point she donned a hilarious blue garbage bag to prevent her elegant dress from being muddied in her walk to the wedding location. Lucky Emma is a great sport and saw the humour in this – and that’s why we can share a picture!
Congratulations to Emma & Bren, there is so much more we could say about what an awesome day this was but I think it’s time we shared some pictures with you. They are equally awesome :) Caves, cliffs, stone bridges, antique couches and a little midnight dancing. It’s all absolutely bliss.
We wish you both so much love and happiness on your journey together as Mr & Mrs – thank you for sharing your special day with us.
