While the Angelica Peady Photography blog is usually loaded with our recent weddings, boudoir and engagement shoots we actually do shoot contemporary family portraits in Sydney, the Hawkesbury and the Blue Mountains. You may recall some of our previous family sessions which you can also see here and here. What is the common thread for all these shoots is that they are ‘real’. They aren’t staged or contrived they are totally gorgeous families being themselves and enjoying natural moments together. I guess my point is that ‘our style’ of family portraits is a celebration of authenticity. You and your peeps being your every day selves.
And that’s how this shoot ended up being on wheels :)
A Mum and her awesome crew of men on their skateboards doing what they love doing together. And that’s why I dig this session so much! Okay, the Mum is beyond cool in her trainers and skateboarding like a total pro and the kids are wide-eyed and gappy-teethed gorgeous but the very best thing is that the moments are real, the smiles are real and the love is real.
And truly – that’s what makes for the most beautiful images – pictures that are a authentic representation of you all together in that moment in time.
If you want to see more of how this shoot happened please check out the awesome video fusion ‘behind the scenes’ that was by Slow Motion Pictures.
So, in closing, would it be lame to say I think these images are ‘totally gnarly‘?
Anyway, here they are. A fabulous family on wheels. Love.
