It was such a joy to shoot Gemma & Matt’s wedding at stunning venue The Turpentine Tree in Kurrajong Heights. This garden based reception location is so rich in photo opportunities, it is beautifully manicured and so, so gorgeous, it’s truly a photographer’s (and bride and groom’s) dream!
Of course, I was also blessed with a beautiful couple to be shooting for. Gemma and Matt are wonderful people, so in love and so deserving of the happy life together that I know lies ahead for them. Their wedding was a touching celebration of their unique love for one another and Gemma’s stylish taste saw their guests enjoy an adorable ‘rustic chic’ celebration. Theming included burlap table cloths, mason jars filled with hand-picked blooms, a cafe made with bales of hay and market umbrellas, a bicycle adorned with flowers and an alter-archway made of twigs and twine.
The food was fabulous including a vintage inspired lemonade stand, an afternoon tea party and a grand tiered cake with the continued burlap shabby feel. Heart-felt speeches, a happy relaxed couple and guests who were there to really ‘celebrate’ all combined for a magnificent day.
Gemma and Matt’s dream team of suppliers included – Gemma’s dress by Park Avenue Bridal, music by Kate Gogarty, catering by Simmone Logue, floral design by Kayes Cakes and Flowers and Heartstrings as their celebrant.
