If I had to describe Cath and Ralph’s wedding day, the first word that comes to mind is charming. It was absolutely charming in every sense of the word.
Charming: To have a particular quality that attracts or delights.
Cath is a woman of immense style and the many hours she spent working on and sourcing special details absolutely added to the whimsy and enchantment of this intimate and highly personal wedding day. It’s no secret that we have a passion for the vintage bride, the DIY bride and any kind of quirky yet adorable wedding, well Cath was a very Angelica Peady Photography kind of bride!
To start at the very beginning, long before the team at Angelica Peady Photography found themselves shooting this very charming wedding, Cath travelled to the UK and met local lad Ralph on her adventures. Love bloomed and the rest as they say was history! The couple now reside in Australia and their rustic chic wedding celebration is undoubtedly just the beginning in the next chapter of their wonderful life together.
With so many lovely details for this wedding there was an emphasis on DIY and many of their family member rolled up their sleeves to make this wonderful vision come to life. Cath’s wedding bouquet was made by her mother, the cake – baked by her Dad – was adorned with rustic blooms, a beautiful photo timeline was part of the wedding decor which converged into a single line of images when the couple met (love!!) and in a huge surprise incredibly talented Sarah Blasko performed during the heartfelt ceremony accompanied by David Hunt on the guitar! The other detail I loved on the day was that the bride’s dress (by Martina Liana) had pockets! Tres fashionable and tres practical!
The other really important thing to mention for this special day was the rain! Make that RAIN! Cath & Ralph’s wedding day was wet. Very wet. We had only a 20 minute break in the weather all day to pop outside and take portraits. There’s a few really important points to be taken from this!
Firstly, don’t panic if it rains on your wedding day! A professional photographer can handle all sorts of conditions and knows how to make bad weather work in your favour.
Secondly, if you are an Angelica Peady Photography bride and the rain impacts your big day, we offer a wet weather guarantee – a chance to re-shoot on another day and achieve those running in a paddock or walking by a lake sort of shots (whatever!) you dreamed of but just couldn’t achieve on the day! You can ask us for more information on this.
So returning to Cath and Ralph – guys, congratulations. I wish you love and happiness and a marriage filled with all that you could dream of.
