We love shooting Hunter Valley weddings and we’d have to say we are ‘old pros’ now given the number of times we have shot there. From Chateau Elan, to sunset in the vineyards, Tempus Two to the Hunter Valley Gardens and many locations in between we’ve been there, shot that! The wonderful thing about the Hunter Valley is that it changes so much with the seasons and every wedding is unique to the bride and groom. Which neatly brings me to today’s adorable couple – meet Jenna & Adrian!
Perfectly matched and totally in love Jenna and Adrian’s cross-country love (he’s English and she’s Australian) is the kind that makes you realise that there’s someone ‘just right’ for everyone, even if they are on the other side of the world! It’s funny as I write this that I realise the number of couples I’ve shot recently that went literally across the globe to meet their significant other – charming Wollongong wedding Cath & Ralph, loved up Steph & Bobby and their Gardens on Forrest wedding and stylish Kurrajong wedding Jen & Neil – and that’s off the top of my head… Love is such a funny thing, I consider myself lucky every single day to see so many people who are so excited and giddy to be on a romantic journey with their chosen one, it’s truly special to be able to share this with so many people as their Sydney (or beyond) wedding photographer. I just love, love…
Anyway back to the love birds at hand, with many relatives travelling from the UK Jenna and Adrian chose a Hunter Valley destination wedding to really showcase the amazing locations that we have in Australia – and having experienced their wedding day myself I am sure their guests were more than ‘wowed’ with their choice!
Gorgeous Jenna and Adrian tied the knot at the Hunter Valley Gardens above the waterfall which is a magical spot, their day was blessed with sunshine but nothing could outshine gorgeous Jenna in her romantic lace gown. The ceremony was officiated by A Beautiful Day Celebrants which was heart-felt and richly detailed with personal references to the couple’s life together. The reception was held at Peterson’s Champagne House but we stopped en route to take some portraits at the amazing Peppers Convent (if this building looks familiar you might recognise if from The Farmer Wants a Wife!)
Jenna and Adrian’s Hunter Valley wedding supplier’s ‘dream team’ also included hair and make up by Bellus, stunning flowers by Peter Herd Florist, Simon from XYDJ on the turntables, a wishing well from Lily and Bramwell and Angelica Peady Photography as photographers! (Joke, I think you knew that!)
