Hey, did you know that we love country weddings? Well we do! We love the wide open spaces, the big blue sky, jumping in a 4WD with the bride and groom (yup – we’re totally up for some 4WDing if you’re up for it!) and anything else that we can do to capture the uniqueness of your chosen venue.
In this case, Eliza and Steve’s wedding was held on Steve’s family’s working farm not too far from Lithgow in a town called Cullen Bullen. We had lovely weather and of course those big blue skies. There were hay bales, cows, a convoy of 4WD’s, rustic wooden signs, an old milk tin wishing well, a big ole shed where guests ate at long table adored with baby’s breath and of course country romance! You could not ask for much else!
We’d like to thank Eliza and Steve for choosing us to capture their day – it was such a pleasure! So without further adieu, here’s some of our favourites from their day…

What an amazing way to start off 2014!
We had been looking forward to Hayley and Matthew’s wedding for a long time as we had a feeling it was going to be awesome… and it was! Now Hayley and Matt and would classify themselves as nerds – Matt is a scientist and Hayley manages a vintage store – they are little bit crazy, a little bit quirky and a whole lotta fun!
As photographers, it’s our job to capture the day and seek out details that make each wedding and each couple a little different. So as someone who was there to witness Hayley and Matt’s wedding, these are some things that I loved about their day…
- Hayley’s Darth Vader slippers that she wore as long as she could before putting on her wedding shoes
- The adorably cute (and so different) buttonholes the guys wore created by Everything floral
- The brooch bouquets – also by Everything Floral
- The fact that each of the girls had their own unique gown of their choice in shades of white – and hairpieces too!
- Their heartfelt ceremony and a groom (yep, that’s you Matt) that wasn’t afraid to shed a tear – oh and Hayley was crying too
- That we got to go to quite a few locations that were within minutes from each other 1. A dusty country road 2. A quiet lakeside 3. A random green shed 4. The courtyard at Lindemans (which has great wooden textures) and finally 5. A vineyard
- The surprise fireworks that Hayley and Matt kept secret from all their guests!!
But really, I should just show you how awesome their wedding was!

CONGRATULATIONS!! I hear you’re getting married!! How about giving your man a sexy wedding gift that he will remember your forever.
Have you been thinking about surprising your husband-to-be with a sexy gift on the eve of your wedding? Perhaps you’d like to give him a gorgeous framed print that he could unwrap before he heads out to the ceremony? Or what about an album full of of sexy images: you wearing your boyfriends favourite shirt over some sexy lingerie? or the veil you will wear on your wedding day? high heels and suspenders? or perhaps wrapped in a simple crisp white sheet? Whatever look you’d like to create for your gift for your man, we’d love to make it happen!!
Are you wondering what to wear to your bridal boudoir shoot? Why not wear everything you plan to wear on your wedding day… your lingerie, the garter, the veil, and of course all that bling. How about a more casual boudoir look? We love a pair of cotton briefs and an off the shoulder loose knit, or knee high socks, or a simple teddy or a floral robe. How about creating a more edgy boudoir look? You could try a fur stole, or wrap yourself in tulle or a vintage piece of fabric? What about sequins? Anything with a bit of sparkle will photograph amazingly well!
We’d love to hear from you! Why not get in contact with us to find out more about our special wedding boudoir offer!
And of course we’d love to share some of gorgeous brides and their bridal boudoir images.
We’d like to wish everyone a fabulous 2014. 2013 got a bit busy for us there at the end and we took a break in Tasmania for some R&R.
So it was at the stroke of midnight, we found ourselves half way up Mt Wellington looking down over the city to see this view! Amazing right?!!
We’re sure to be sharing some more images of Tassie with you and of course we’ve got some great weddings to share with you very soon
Make sure you stop back to catch up and we hope 2014 will be the best year for all of you!

We photographed a few weddings at the end of last year that we haven’t shared with you yet and it’s about time we did. I’d like to start things rolling with Dean and Arlie…
We just love an outdoor ceremony and this one was held lakeside underneath some beautiful trees. Arlie’s Pronovias lace gown paired with the flower crown and long veil created such an impact that the guests, not to mention the groom, were sighing at the sight of her. Dean and Arlie created a gorgeous atmosphere with lots of handmade wedding details including recycled paper cones containing rose petals that were handed out to guests on arrival (I have to say we love it when guests shower the bride and groom with petals or confetti – it always makes for fun photos); the handmade doily bunting (hundreds of metres of bunting!!) that was put together by Arlie’s Nan that adorned the reception and the cake was made by her Nan’s friend; the table numbers were photos of Arlie’s beloved family dog Ruben holding numbered chalkboards – what a creative idea and a great way to include pets who may not be able to attend the ceremony.
Today we are sharing more images than usual but that’s just because we loved this wedding sooo much!! We hope you enjoy them xx
