If you are a regular reader of the Angelica Peady Photography blog you’ll know that we love to get immersed in creative concepts and quirky, interesting imagery. So when a client (also named Angie!) came to us with the fabulous idea of re-telling the Aesop’s Fable of ‘The Golden Axe’ we were genuinely excited – and of course, we said ‘let’s do it’.
Our own interpretation of this aged tale has a few ‘twists’ from the original but when it comes to creating amazing images – beautiful pictures (and fantasy) must come first! 
Angie & Irvan are romantics at heart, so re-telling this tale with such loved-up ‘stars’ in front of the camera was easy – and resulted in truly stunning pictures that tell us this story…
A pretty water nymph sits by a lake playing her ukulele. Her soulful tunes attract the interest of a young man who intrigued follows her to the waters edge. He sits by her, enchanted – listening to her music and mesmerised by her beauty. Overcome, he surprises the nymph with a kiss and this unexpected gesture shocks her and she drops her instrument into the lake. The pair jump into the water in search of the ukulele…finally it is found and the pair together return to the shore to walk alongside one another hand in hand…

At Angelica Peady Photography we love ‘lifestyle photography’ – capturing people in their own environment, doing the things they like to do, in a relaxed style. We try to stay away from over posing, instead we like to give a little direction allowing you have the space to relax and have fun.
For Mark and Sarah, their family is important to them – their 4 legged family especially! It was really important to them to include the puppies and what better way to capture them than a walk by the river. Once the puppies were all photo’d out, we spent some time with Mark and Sarah on their own and we love these images we came up with!

At Angelica Peady Photography, we love personalising your engagement session with something that represents who you are. When Sharon and Jim told me that they met at a bake sale… how could we not do something that involved baking? Of course they had to bake something romantic – heart shaped cookies 
We photographed this session on a friend of the couple’s property in Dural. After baking and brunch indoors, we headed outside to enjoy the fabulous native gardens on the property. We had so much fun and the cookies were delicious!!

Dan and Van are just gorgeous, so in love with one another and so much fun!
They share a mutual love for lollies – they even call one another ‘Sweets’ and Van’s engagement ring is made of hundreds & thousands. (Yes, really – check out the images below!)
