A stunning engagement shoot!
Meet Chris and Ellen! Angelica Peady Photography will be shooting their wedding this weekend and we can’t wait. Their Clovelly Beach couples shoot was such a great afternoon – one of those days where the sun made an appearance and the ocean turned on some amazing colours for us. Thank you mother nature! (If you are a fellow Sydney-sider you’ll know why I’m acknowledging the weather was good…!)
Anyway, Chris and Ellen are clearly naturals in front of the camera. Relaxed and easy they were happy to kick off their shoes and wade into the water for some fabulous, very weak-at-the-knees moments. That last shot reminds me of the old Hollywood movies where the couple is kissing on the sand. Love!

Just a week or so ago we found ourselves heading South to the gorgeous beach side suburb of Thirroul. We were en route to meet the fabulous duo that is Melodie and Kurt for their engagement session. During the drive we were excited and hopeful that we’d meet a fun, relaxed pair who’d let their hair down in front of the camera. And we weren’t to be disappointed – just as these cool, contemporary images will show you.
As part of the Angelica Peady approach to weddings, we like to schedule engagement shoots with our couples. This allows us to spend time with you, get to know you, for us all to feel comfortable with one another and to allow the couple to loosen up in front of the camera and understand the photographic experience before their ‘big day’.
Melodie and Kurt invited us into their home and we were immediately taken by Melodie’s flair for detail and her many crafty projects in the house. Of course, loving all things quirky and retro we straight away knew we wanted to include these into the shoot – they’d add personal detail of Melodie and Kurt’s lives together to the imagery – and make for some pops of vivid colour and interesting, fresh pictures.
So, here they are! The gorgeous, the loved-up, the uber-cool…Melodie and Kurt. You’ll see more of these two when we shoot their wedding in the Southern Highlands later this year. Until then guys, happy planning…

Sophie and Ed are one of the coolest couples we’ve ever met. Fun and charismatic, it was such a pleasure to shoot these love birds. Up for an adventure, Sophie and Ed travelled from their home town of Cairns (in far north Queensland) for their engagement shoot with the team from Angelica Peady Photography. What a compliment for us – and pressure to deliver some fan-tas-tic pictures – but rest assured it was worth Sophie and Ed’s journey – of course, we more than delivered 
We decided to shoot in the grungy, urban streets of Sydney’s Newtown for a hip, earthy look that complimented Sophie and Ed’s personal style. Graffiti, an old, overgrown cemetery and lots of golden afternoon sun resulted in a series of images that perfectly capture Sophie and Ed – hip, edgy and loved-up.
We are excited to be shooting Sophie and Ed’s wedding in 2012 in Cairns – until then guys, happy planning! We can’t wait to be part of your big day.
