The Angelica Peady Photography philosophy for weddings is a firm ‘your day, your way’.
We don’t believe in cookie-cutter nuptials, we think a wedding should be real. An authentic, heart-felt representation of who you and your beloved are - a celebration of your life, your bond and what makes your ‘story’ special.
So whether it be fun, funky, cool, quirky or intimate and tender – if your day is about you (not copied verbatim from a wedding blog or magazine!) we’d love to be a part of it.
Our approach is relaxed and fun. We believe the resulting images should be a-m-a-z-i-n-g but the process should be enjoyable. We’ll laugh and joke with you and help to make you feel at ease in front of the camera.
Our wedding packages are flexible and affordable. They start with a full set of digital images on disc. Our ‘a la carte’ menu then allows you to select just what you want and nothing more. It’s our belief you should be able to choose a package that’s tailorable to suit your needs and budget.
We love weddings. And, we’d like to shoot yours.
So, if we sound like the kind of photographer you’d like to work with for your big day contact us and lets talk about your plans.
What a year! We have had an amazing time photographing some fabulous weddings and we feel so blessed that we do this for a living.
This year we have had quite a few firsts and hopefully there will be many more to come… here are just a few of our memorable moments:
we got up close and personal with a butterfly (well, as close as a butterfly will let you)
photographing a bride in a helicopter
a colourful mexican fiesta inspired wedding
a group of boys jumping into a harbourside pool behind our bride and groom
we had fun in the storybook garden, in the hunter valley gardens
we photographed our bride lauren on top of some old rusted mining vehicles
we photographed our first vegas wedding making sure we visited the Welcome to Las Vegas sign (the pic below shows a film clip being made in the background for DJ Bobo – remember him from the 80′s)
we photographed our first halloween wedding – which included a groom in a suit of armour!!!
a photography dream of ours, to photograph in st marys cathedral came true
we photographed our first wedding festival and got to stay until after midnight when all the wedding guests turned into fairys and wood nymphs. my favourite was that gnome… i just laugh every time i see him!!

You may recall Sarah & Mark’s Tasmanian wedding which we blogged here. Feedback on their beautiful day was that our blog readers wanted to see more of their amazing details. Sarah is fabulously creative and painstakingly designed the entire wedding herself including making many of the elements by hand. The attention to detail was incredible, every where we looked their was something gorgeous!
Rustic chic is a ‘theme’ that is a hot wedding trend right now. It incorporates an eclectic mishmash of country, vintage, hand-made and glamour – exactly what Sarah achieved with her wedding styling.
Here are our favourite elements from Sarah & Mark’s wedding:
- Sarah’s Mum sewed hundreds of metres (literally!) of the cute, vintage-inspired bunting that was used as a backdrop at the ceremony and also at the reception. (And if that wasn’t enough she also sewed the bridesmaids dresses and the handkerchiefs – read on…)
- The embroidered pocket hankies for the men in the bridal party – a lovely keep sake and highly practical should anyone shed a delighted tear!
- Mark’s Scrabble inspired cuff-links which were purchased here.
- Sarah’s custom wedding dress hanger featuring her new married name which was purchase here.
- The fabulous guest book alternative – a Jenga set for guests to write their name and message on! A work of art and entertainment for a rainy afternoon for years to come!
- The rustic table scape – jam jars, native picked blooms, rounds of wood, bottles, ribbons and lace-look doilies combined to create a rustic, earthy and warm display in the town hall.
- The menus – beautiful fonts, letter-press look printing atop custom cut table runners
- The corked initials – a fabulous flourish atop the fireplace – and an excuse for a pre-wedding tipple! That’s a lot of corks guys
- The golden lighting – the hall was adorned with hessian, strings of fairy lights and the glow of the flickering fire. The deliberate absence of any fluorescent light meant for a natural, romantic ambiance.
Congratulations Sarah on executing such an amazing wedding – and having time amongst all of this to be a bride! We loved your vision and committment to making your day truly special and you did it – it was! And without further ‘ado here are the images of all those lovely details…

At Angelica Peady Photography we are passionate, creative photographers who celebrate brides and grooms with the desire to be a little bit different. Our own style is relaxed, natural and a little bit offbeat so couples with the same approach are just up our alley! We are based in the Hawkesbury but photograph weddings all over Sydney, the Blue Mountains, South Coast and the Hunter Valley.
Today a bride, tomorrow a wife, forever your little girl.
That saying just makes us want to shed a tear every time we hear it. It’s so beautiful, and just so true. Every little girl dreams of being walked down the aisle by her father and every father’s proudest moment is in escorting his baby to meet her husband on her big day. It’s just one of those special, sacred rituals that should be captured in beautiful images and celebrated long after the event is over.
At Angelica Peady Photography we love brides that are true to themselves – the funky bride, the vintage bride, the elegant slinky bride – you name it we have shot it – but no matter the style of the bride there’s one thing they all have in common… An emotional, proud and ‘just a little bit nervous’ father holding their hand for their last minutes as a Miss.
Here’s a round up of our favourite Daddy and Daughter images…hankies at the ready ladies…!

Every bride wants to make an entrance but our most recent bride topped all the arrivals that the team at Angelica Peady Photography have ever witnessed! Arriving by helicopter brings grand entrances to a new level and Sarah literally ‘landed’ at her ceremony straight from the amazing blue skies of Tasmania. In the ‘romantic gestures’ stakes, Sarah’s future husband Mark was not to be outdone, he lovingly mowed a giant heart into the lawns of the property to surprise and welcome Sarah as she flew above. Swoon!
Our regular blog readers would know that Angelica Peady Photography is based in the Hawkesbury Valley and that we normally shoot weddings across Sydney, the Blue Mountains and the Hunter so shooting in Tassie is a little out of the ordinary for us. We met Sarah and Mark last year at a locally-based bridal expo and they loved our fun, unique style so much they invited us to join them as their photographers for their ‘big day’ across the ‘Straight – and of course we said yes!
Tasmania was a feast of gorgeous scenery, the richest green landscapes we’ve ever seen and lots and lots of love. Location-wise Sarah and her attendants spent the morning before the wedding primping and pampering at the amazing Barnbougle ‘Lost Farm’ at Bridgport and the ceremony was held on the family farm located in Scottsdale. The elegant reception was hosted at Lietinna Hall, Lietinna.
The whole day was magnificent. Sarah was the most beautiful, radiant bride and Mark was the penultimate in proud grooms. It was perfect.
Thank you Sarah and Mark for choosing the team at Angelica Peady Photography to share in your beautiful wedding day. We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness. As for you Tasmania, you’ve stolen our hearts and we will be back. That’s a promise!

The bride wore Alex Perry, carried roses and arrived in a shiny black car – all pretty normal right? But this wedding is nothing like you are imagining! Ben & Gwynn tied the knot on 31 October in a quirky, slightly Gothic and truly fabulous Halloween themed wedding.
Funeral director Gwynn’s gown was dramatic black and accented with a rich red cloak. Her blood red roses were entwined in twisted willow and the groom was suited in armour.
If you believe in spirits there were thousands of guests in attendance as the ceremony was held in the largest graveyard in the Southern Hemisphere with over a million burials since its opening in the 1800′s. Those on the real guest list total only 50 so the day was intimate, personal and romantic.
The cake was adorned with red rose petals, dripping blood and a corpse bride and groom topper, the wedding car was a hearse and the ring pillow was embellished with a skull, feathers and luxe velvet. The details were truly ‘of another world’ and only the photos below can really tell the story of this magnificent day. The fantasy, the love and all the sensational yet spooky details…

Congratulations Ben & Gwynn! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness… thank you for sharing your amazing day with us. We loved every minute!

At Angelica Peady Photography we love a bride that’s a little bit offbeat. The more funky, outlandish or alternative – the more excited we are to be part of your big day. Tattoos, wild details and unusual requests are our speciality but whatever your day if you are celebrating the ‘real you’ we want to be your photographer. Our favourite weddings are those that capture the essence of a couple, reflecting their passions, loves and hobbies.
